Gold Coin play only in Illinois
These operators let Illinois players use Gold Coins, but not Sweeps Coins, so there’s nothing to redeem.
Illinois sweepstakes casinos while availability shifts
Illinois hasn't banned sweepstakes casinos, but its regulators have sent cease-and-desist letters to operators and a ban bill is pending, so any brand here could stop taking Illinois accounts. 76 of the 93 we track still do. WOW Vegas, Sportzino and Zula Casino, which appear on most of our other state pages, are among the 17 that don't, and American Luck and Fortune Coins keep Illinois to Gold Coins play. The five below are ranked by our Overall Score, which gives verified terms and online reach equal weight.
- 1.
Crown CoinsPrepaid card paid instantly
Crown Coins takes Illinois players from 18, with 21 required in certain territories. After a review of 24 to 72 hours, prepaid-card prizes are instant, Skrill takes 1 to 3 business days and bank transfers up to 5.
- 2.
McLuckGift cards from 10 SC
McLuck accepts Illinois players at 21 and lets them redeem gift cards from 10 Sweepstakes Coins, or a bank transfer from 75. New accounts get 7,500 Gold Coins and 2.5 free Sweepstakes Coins with no code.
- 3.
ModoOpen to Illinois at 21
Modo, run by ARB Gaming, LLC, still takes Illinois players from 21. Cash prizes start at 50 SC by bank transfer, debit card or PayPal, and Prizeout gift cards at 20 SC. A mailed envelope request from your verified state earns 3 SC.
- 4.
PulszPaid in 1 to 5 business days
Pulsz states 1 to 5 business days for Illinois redemptions once an account is verified, paid by ACH, Trustly, Skrill or gift card. Skrill only works for players who bought with Skrill, and play starts at 21.
- 5.
Pulsz BingoSkrill prizes in 3 to 4 hours
Pulsz Bingo, Pulsz's sister under Yellow Social Interactive Limited, also takes Illinois players at 21. Skrill prizes are stated at 3 to 4 hours after up to 24 hours of internal processing, while bank and Trustly payouts take 3 to 5 business days. A 24/7 phone line handles payment questions.
Because Illinois regulators are already warning operators, treat everything here as subject to change. Check each operator's current state rules on the day you play, and check again before every Gold Coin purchase.
Frequently asked questions
- Will these casinos stay open to Illinois?
- Nothing guarantees it. Illinois has no ban yet, but regulators have warned operators and a ban bill is pending, so any of these five could stop taking Illinois accounts. Today 76 of the 93 brands we follow still accept prize play from the state.
- Which well-known brands are unavailable in Illinois?
- WOW Vegas, Sportzino and Zula Casino all exclude Illinois, as do the SGSE LLC brands Reel Zappy and Win Bonanza; their sister American Luck offers Gold Coins play only, and so does Fortune Coins. LuckXpress, Shuffle.us, Stake.us, Luck Party, Rolling Riches, PeakPlay, Carnival Citi, Mrs. Maple, Jumbo88 and Sixty6 also say no.
- Which Illinois option pays a set amount by mail?
- McLuck credits 4 SC per mailed request, though it says crediting can take up to 3 months, and Modo 3 SC per envelope sent from your verified state. Crown Coins, Pulsz and Pulsz Bingo describe mail-in routes without stating an amount.
