RealPrize vs Spree

The short version

Only 0.2 separates them on our Editor Rating (RealPrize 4.1, Spree 3.9), close enough that specific terms matter more. It splits cleanly. RealPrize wins for wider coverage (36 jurisdictions to Spree’s 33), and Spree for low-threshold gift cards, starting at 10 SC and free entry by post (4 SC a request, 1 at RealPrize).

State availability

RealPrize offers prize play in 36 of 51 jurisdictions and Spree in 33. We start from each site’s excluded-states list, then remove any state where the law bans sweepstakes play.

Kentucky, Maryland and West Virginia: RealPrize yes, Spree no.

Neither accepts prize play in 15 jurisdictions, including New Jersey, Utah and Connecticut.

Each operator’s list still shows Utah as open, and RealPrize’s also shows California, Delaware, Indiana, Louisiana, Maine, New Jersey and Tennessee. We count them as closed anyway, because a ban or regulator action applies.

Redeeming prizes

RealPrize and Spree share a 100 SC cash minimum. Gift cards open at 10 SC at Spree and 45 SC at RealPrize. At both, a gift card is the lower bar to a prize.

Both pay prizes the same ways: cash and gift cards.

RealPrize’s payout timing isn’t in its verified terms. On timing, Spree’s rules say: up to 10 days for cash prizes; gift cards are the fastest option.

Playthrough is 1x at both before Sweeps Coins count toward a redemption. RealPrize says it may require more. Spree states that ID verification comes before any redemption.

Free ways to play

Only Spree has a confirmed sign-up bonus (2.5 SC and 25,000 Gold Coins, no purchase needed). RealPrize’s isn’t on record.

By post, RealPrize credits 1 SC per request. The steps: handwrite a request on a 4x6 card and post it in a #10 envelope. Spree takes mail-in requests at 4 SC each. To enter, obtain a unique request code, write out a request card and post it in a #10 envelope. Five requests would bring 5 SC at RealPrize and 20 SC at Spree.
