Legendz vs SweepStars

The short version

Only 0.1 separates them on our Editor Rating (Legendz 4.2, SweepStars 4.1), close enough that specific terms matter more. Each has its own case: Legendz for mail-in players, at 3 SC per request against 1, SweepStars for gift-card prizes from 40 SC (50 SC at Legendz).

Where you can play for prizes

State by state there’s no difference. Each covers the same 36 of 51 jurisdictions. A state counts as closed here when either the operator’s list or state law shuts it.

Legendz and SweepStars are both closed in 15 places, from California to Washington.

Legendz and SweepStars both still list Delaware, Indiana, Maine and Utah as open; we treat them as unavailable because of a state ban or regulator action.

Turning SC into prizes

Cash prizes start at 100 SC at either site. For gift cards, SweepStars asks 40 SC and Legendz 50 SC. Either way, gift cards come within reach before cash does.

We’ve verified Legendz’s payout methods (Prizeout gift cards) but not SweepStars’.

Legendz doesn’t state a processing time in what we’ve verified. For SweepStars, the stated timing is: same-day redemptions advertised for eligible requests (actual timing varies with verification and payment method).

Each requires Sweeps Coins to be played through 1x before they can be redeemed. Legendz’s rules allow it to require up to 20x. SweepStars requires identity verification before you redeem.

Free ways to play

New accounts at SweepStars get 1 SC and 15,000 Gold Coins with no purchase. We couldn’t confirm a free sign-up amount for Legendz.

Legendz’s free mail-in entry pays 3 SC per request. To enter, obtain a unique request code, fill out a request card and post it. By post, SweepStars credits 1 SC per request. Over five mailed requests, that’s 5 SC at SweepStars against 15 at Legendz.

Gold Coin purchases

For Gold Coins, SweepStars accepts Apple Pay, Google Pay, Visa and Mastercard, while Legendz accepts credit or debit card, Apple Pay, Skrill and ACH bank transfer. The differences: credit or debit card, Skrill and ACH bank transfer only at Legendz and Google Pay, Visa and Mastercard only at SweepStars. Gold Coins carry no prize value at Legendz or SweepStars, so a purchase is never needed to play.

Support and game library

You can reach Legendz by live chat or email. Stated hours: 24/7, 365 (live chat and email). SweepStars offers live chat and email support. Beyond casino games, Legendz runs sports picks.

How the ratings compare

The widest gap is redemption terms, where SweepStars scores 4.5 to Legendz’s 3.5 (SweepStars is scored on a 100 SC cash minimum alone; Legendz’s score also averages in 1 payout method). Transparency & trust goes the other way: 5.0 for Legendz, 4.0 for SweepStars (a named operator against no named operator).

Market Signal, which tracks online footprint rather than the terms, puts Legendz clearly ahead of SweepStars. SweepStars is too new for a momentum reading; Legendz’s momentum is declining.

Who runs them

Legendz is operated by Platinum Panther Ltd. (Malta). SweepStars’ terms, as far as we’ve confirmed them, don’t name an operating company.
